Objective

Our client has experienced a notable surge in business over the past two years, leading to a greater need for skilled software professionals to join their engineering team. With a focus on bolstering support, the demand for sought-after skills in the Twin Cities continues to rise. The objective was to locate a candidate with expertise at the principal level in software architecture, particularly in .NET, React, and Azure cloud technologies. Consequently, our client engaged with Search Leaders, LLC on a contingent basis to facilitate the search for a suitable candidate.

Process

Initially, Search Leaders, LLC identified seven candidates in the software engineering field possessing architecture and technical proficiency in .NET, React, and Azure cloud. Alongside technical competence, our client emphasized the importance of finding a candidate who naturally aligns with their team culture. Leveraging the expertise and connections of the Search Leaders, LLC team, the candidate pool was then refined to a select ‘short-list.’

Results

Among approximately seven applications received for the position, five candidates progressed to a first-round interview with the VP of Engineering and a Senior Director of Engineering. Subsequently, three candidates advanced to a second-round technical interview with the tech team. Following the second-round interviews, a clear front-runner emerged, prompting a final round interview with the CEO before extending an offer. The selected candidate, previously a passive applicant, enthusiastically accepted the offer, expressing excitement about the new opportunity. Our client expressed gratitude as previous recruiters had struggled to find candidates of the desired caliber, but this process successfully resulted in securing the ideal candidate for the role. Consequently, our client recognized the efficiency of the process, leading to further opportunities for collaboration on similar software engineering and other IT-related roles.
